From my heart -

Little men of Kuwait

Every country, all over the world has hatred. Some against other countries, some for religious reasons, some political, and some are even fighting amongst themselves killing one another.
Why?

Is it that as people we find it so difficult to learn about others, and so easy just to hate the differences between us?

My heart is so filled with love for everyone. I have a strong desire to understand other people, where they're from, and how they have lived their life. In my eyes this allows me to grow as a woman, and to understand more as a person. I feel that culture is the root of intelligence.

In America we have people from all over the world, however, they have a tendency to gather in small areas of people from the same background. This makes sense to me - it's a comfort zone. We all have one. I have found this is the same in other countries as well. Americans stay in one area, Indians in another, Sri Lankans in another, and so on.

But in my heart I wish this were different. I wish we could all cohabitate together, as one large group of people. Then I believe we could spend the time we usually spend fearing one another learning about one another.

I truly believe that our hearts are the same, and with enough education we can share love instead of hatred. I doubt I will ever live to see that day, but maybe my grandchildren will. Insha Allah.

For the time being I will continue to learn all I can about every culture, and I will continue to love people from my heart. I will never cause harm to someone, and I will believe they will treat me with the same respect and honor. I will be loyal to my home, as well as anywhere I might visit. And I will spend a lifetime apologizing for the pain innocent people have been caused due to lack of culture.

Most importantly, I will continue learning something new every day in an attempt to become a better woman.
